Jonathan McHugh

Studio A Music Library is led by Jonathan McHugh. McHugh is a veteran independent TV and film producer/ director/music supervisor who has held high ranking creative and marketing positions at some of the world’s biggest entertainment companies including New Line Cinema/Warner Films & Def Jam Films/Universal Music over the past few decades. He’s also produced 35 films and TV shows with and about some of pop culture’s biggest pop culture stars including Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Janis Joplin, Snoop Dogg, Muhammad Ali and Ludacris.

Sydney Lane

Sydney is a 2023 graduate of Loyola University New Orleans' Music Industry Studies program, and transitioned from student to Alumni Outreach Coordinator following graduation. During her undergrad, Sydney led original music collaborations between digital filmmaking and music students, breaking ground for a culture of interdisciplinary creativity. Drawing from her background in film composition, independent record label operations, and music publishing, she now collaborates with Jonathan McHugh as Associate Music Supervisor. Together, they manage Studio A Music Library, aiming to equip students with the skills and insights necessary for careers in music and entertainment. Driven by her passion for film scoring, she is committed to enhancing the business of creative sync licensing, particularly within academia, and advocates for the empowerment and support of female composers in the visual media landscape.

  • Studio A Music Library offers 12 month exclusive automatic renewal agreements.

  • Studio A Music Library agreements are exclusive - meaning your song cannot be represented by any other library during those 12 months.

  • Studio A takes a 20% administration fee if we place your song. If we work with a bigger music library entity and they place your song, the fee is 50% total.
